I first did this as a pastel painting, which I really liked. But I hate framing pastels! So, I did this oil painting to see if I could do it in oil, thus no framing required, no glass with glare in front of it,… It turned out great! Looks much like my pastel. But, it took forever to do because I had to wait for the paint to dry between layers. I love this painting, but not sure I’d use this technique again. This is an original oil painting by me, on a 7/8” deep, gallery wrapped, stretched canvas. The edges are painted and it is ready to hang.
